Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 September 2026

Prompt Deck reads what your coding agents have already written to your own disk. This page explains exactly what the app does and does not collect.

What stays on your Mac

Everything you can see in the app. Transcripts are read directly from the folders your agents already use - ~/.claude, ~/.codex, ~/.local/share/opencode, Cursor's local database and so on. Your prompt library lives in a single JSON file in your Application Support folder. Memory files stay where your tools keep them, in your home folder and your projects. None of it is uploaded, synced or transmitted anywhere.

What leaves your Mac

One thing: your licence key. When you activate Pro, and periodically afterwards, the app sends your licence key, an activation identifier and a public organization id to Polar, our payments provider, to confirm the subscription is active. Nothing else is ever sent - not a transcript, not a prompt, not a file name, not a project path.

If you never activate Pro, the app makes no network requests at all.

No analytics, no accounts

Prompt Deck has no telemetry, no crash reporting, no analytics SDK and no user accounts. We do not know how many times you open it or what you use it for.

What Polar holds

When you subscribe, Polar processes the payment and stores your email address and billing details under their privacy policy. We can see your email address, subscription status and licence key in Polar's dashboard. We never see your card details.

This website

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and sets no cookies. Cloudflare processes requests under its own terms and may keep standard server logs.

Your data, your call

Deleting the app removes it. To remove its own data as well, delete ~/Library/Application Support/PromptDeck. Your agents' transcripts and memory files belong to those tools; Prompt Deck never deletes them. To delete the account Polar holds for you, email us and we will action it.

Children

Prompt Deck is a developer tool and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date above changes and the updated version appears on this page.
